Content Draft Peer Review

Prompts

Here, since you’ll be seeing a rough draft, be sure to focus on big picture issues—narrative elements (plot, setting, characters), structure/organization, etc. No need to line edit for your peers. Since you’ll still be revising and finalizing content, a lot can still change. We’ll tackle polishing (editing and proofreading) after revision, once you’re mostly happy with the story.

  • What’s the story about?
  • What’s working well?
  • What needs work?
  • Respond to the writer’s question(s).
  • Any additional comments/questions/ideas for consideration.

Round 1

Extensive feedback in response to the prompts above. Think 15-20 minutes.

Round 2

Quicker feedback in response to the prompts above, focusing especially on the writer’s questions and providing a couple additional comments to guide the writer’s work. Think about 10 minutes.
